On last Tuesday afternoon, the Campus successfully held the annual University Fair, where nearly 40 universities and educational institutions from Canada, the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia and Asia gathered at the campus, and had face-to-face exchanges with BC students and parents.
The quality of education in British Columbia is recognized as the best in Canada. As the BC program is out of British Columbia, it also attracted many Canadian universities to make presentations, such as the University of Toronto, McMaster University, Western University, University of Alberta, University of Ottawa, Kwantlen Polytechnic University, etc. On the day of the event, students and their parents come to the site for consultation, to learn about the university and the requirements for admission.
Taking the opportunity of this university fair, the BC program also held the course selection fair at the same time, so that students and parents have a full understanding of each course and plan the next academic year to learn the course. BC program gives students a lot of choices, students can choose their courses according to their professional direction and personal interests.
Student A:
At university fairs and course selection fairs, my mother and I have been asking in front of each university. My major is business. After asking the admission requirements of the university, I have tentatively decided to choose Physics 12, AP calculus AB and philosophy in the first semester of Grade 12. I feel pressure now, because each university’s requirements require me to make further efforts. But I still firmly choose University of Toronto and University of Edinburgh!
Student B:
This course selection fair is of great help to me, because it is very important for a G11 student to choose the course for G12. There were many teachers in the course selection fair, which made it more convenient for me to raise questions about the course. The face-to-face communication with the teachers also deepened my understanding of the course.
Student C:
This is the first time for me to choose courses. Through this course selection fair, I can understand the content of each course and the teacher directly. Although I have a basic plan in mind for course selection, such activities are still very important. In the future, I will major in computer science. In grade 11, I plan to study physics, mathematics and computer programing. The information I got from university fair is also very rich, every admissions teachers are very responsible.
Parent A:
Through this face-to-face communication, I learned the requirements of relevant majors in the university. As a parent, I welcome such offline activities and hope the school can hold more of them.
Parent B:
As a parent, attending university fair left a deep impression on me. This experience has also helped me to better understand college education, and helped me make wise decisions for my child.
Parent C:
The course selection fair is very lively, and the BC program curriculum is also very varied. In front of each site, there are several foreign teachers and senior students to help explain. Through the communication with the teacher, I also have more understanding of the child’s future courses.
Through this course selection fair and university fair, I believe that students and parents have a deeper understanding of the BC curriculum and university admission requirements. Where the heart goes, where the action goes, I wish our BC students, sailing in the ocean of knowledge, flying under the sky of dreams, a bright future and a promising future!
