Jiaoke BC successfully held its first spring university fair since the COVID-19 this Wednesday afternoon. More than 30 universities and educational institutions from Canada, United States, United Kingdom, Australia, and other countries from Europe and Asia gathered at the Jiaoke campus and had face-to-face communication with BC students and parents.
The quality of high school education of BC program is well recognized in Canada. Many Canadian universities came to Jiaoke campus to meet BC students, among which are Western University, York University, Queen’s University, Simon Fraser University, Sheridan College, etc. On the day of the event, nearly 300 BC students and more than 100 parents visited the fair.
As the haze of the COVID-19 has dissipated, the activities of the BC program have gradually resumed. Taking the opportunity of the university fair, the BC program also held the Course selection fair at the same time, so that students and their parents could seize the opportunity to communicate with the BC teachers and university representatives
The search for universities that high school students are interested in is greatly facilitated by university fairs. These events provide students with the opportunity to learn more about various universities and their programs, as well as to pose questions and meet with institution representatives. Students and parents can obtain valuable insights into the college admissions process and make informed decisions about their future education by attending university fairs.
In addition, university fairs provided students with an excellent opportunity to explore a variety of colleges and universities in one location. This can be especially helpful for students who lack the financial means to visit multiple campuses in person. Students and parents can compare and contrast their various options by learning about different academic programs, campus cultures, and admission requirements. This helps them develop a better understanding of what they are seeking in a college or university, allowing them to make a more informed application decision. Overall, our Jiaoke BC university fair on Wednesday was a valuable resource for our high school students navigating the college application process and preparing for their future education.
11C Howerd:
This course selection fair is of great help to me, because it is very important for a G11 student to choose the course for G12. There were many teachers in the course selection exhibition, which made it more convenient for me to raise questions about the course. The face-to-face communication with the teachers also deepened my understanding of the course.
Howerd家长:
As a parent, attending university fair left a deep impression on me. This experience has also helped me to better understand college education and make more informed decisions about choosing the right university for my child.
10A Sherry:
This is the first time for me to choose course. Through this course selection fair, I can intuitively understand the content of each course and the teacher. Although I have a basic plan in mind for course selection, such activities are still very important. In the future, I will major in computer science. In grade 11, I plan to study physics, mathematics and computer programing. The information I got from university fair is also very rich, every admissions teacher is very responsible.
Sherry妈妈:
The course selection fair is very lively, and the BC program curriculum is also very varied. In front of each booth, there are several foreign teachers and senior students to help explain. Through the communication with the teacher, I also have more understanding of the child’s future courses.
11C Clare:
At university fairs and course selection fairs, my mother and I have been asking in front of each university. My major is business. After asking the admission requirements of the university, I have tentatively decided to choose Physics 12, AP calculus AB and philosophy in the first semester of Grade 12. I feel pressure now, because each university’s requirements require me to make further efforts. But I still firmly choose University of Toronto and University of Edinburgh!
Clare妈妈:
Through this face-to-face communication, I intuitively understood the requirements of relevant majors in the university. As a parent, I welcome such offline activities and hope the school can hold more of them.
